Sony launches new headphones and earphones in India

Sony India has launched three new products in its audio range, including two new headphones in the MDR-XB range - 450 and 250, and MDR-AS200, a water restart and sweat-proof earphone. Priced at Rs 790, the AS200 earphone is available in bright orange and blue colours and will be available starting this month.

On the other hand, the XB450 and XB250 are priced at Rs 2,190 and Rs 1,490, and will hit stores in September.  While the XB250 is available in black and white colour options, the XB450 also comes in red, blue and yellow.

The Sony MDR-XB450 headphone is said to be for those who enjoy listening to music with extra bass. The new MDR-XB450 comes in five vibrant colors - black, white, red, blue, and yellow. Both the MDR-XB450 and MDR-XB250 sport a swivel folding style allowing for convenient storage in a bag, briefcase or backpack.

The MDR-XB250 headphone comes with a 30mm dynamic driver unit, swivel folding style and pressure relieving earpads for prolonged usage. Sony claims that it offers premium sound and is the first-of-its-kind product from the company at a very competitive price. The earphone also features water and sweat resistant capabilities, and an adjustable ear loop to fit wide range of ear sizes.

MDR-AS200

The other launch from Sony, the MDR-AS200s are made for outdoor use as the earphones are water resistant and offer a comfortable design. The MDR-AS200 has a 13.5mm dome type driver with frequency response of 17 - 22,000 Hz which is noteworthy for an earphone. Keeping people’s sporting activity in mind, the earphone come with an L-shaped 3.5mm gold plated jack.
