Hyundai launches Elite i20 at a starting rate of Rs 4.89 Lakh
The Elite i20 is available with two engine options - 1.2-litre Kappa2 petrol and 1.4-litre CRDi diesel, capable of churning out a maximum power output of 83bhp and 89bhp, respectively. The new Elite i20 will not get the 1.4-litre petrol mill which was on offer with the old model.
The petrol variant is priced between Rs 4,89,900 and Rs 6,46,900, the diesel version is priced between Rs 6,09,900 and Rs 7,66,900. There will be four variants each both in the petrol and diesel engines.
"The new model will offer a premium ownership experience for novelty seeking, modern and premium elite customers. The all new Elite i20 features youthful sporty exterior and premium interior which are an expression of evolved design language – Fluidic Sculpture 2.0," B S Seo, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, HMIL, said here at the launch.
On the exterior Elite i20 sports an entirely different look from the outgoing modeld. The new design is based on Hyundai's 'Fluidic Sculpture 2.0' design philosophy. The front-fascia of the car gets the company's new signature hexagonal grille and a new thin horizontal strip that meets the head-lamps.
The rear profile of the car also looks completely new, with 'boomerang' shaped tail-lights, new wrap-around windows and a few more changes.
On the interiors it gets a black and beige toned dash and seats, sporty multi - functional steering wheel with audio and bluetooth controls, integrated 2 Din audio with USB and Aux-in and 1 GB internal memory, rear AC vents, start stop button, and automatic temperature control. It gets dual airbags, ABS, impact sensing door unlock and reverse parking camera.
