BMW X3 launched in India at Rs 44.90 Lakh

BMW launched the new X3 earlier this week at Deutsche Motoren, the BMW dealership in Noida, according to a company press release. The new version of the SUV is locally produced at the BMW Plant Chennai in a diesel variant and is now available at dealerships across India. The new X3 will be available in two variants priced at Rs. 44.9 lakh and Rs. 49.9 lakh (ex-showroom).

BMW X3 is a mid-size family SUV which competes with the likes of Mercedes Benz ML Class and Audi Q5. BMW X3 facelift receives its mid life makeover and will be seen with a new front fascia dominated by restyled front and rear bumpers, larger LED infused head lamps, a prominent kidney grille, ORVMs with side blinkers and new alloy wheels thus giving the X3 facelift a more aggressive and sporty stance.

Interiors will be seen with piano black central console, new leather upholstery in darker shades and textured wood finishes which will be seen throughout the X3 facelift’s interior makeup. A wider infotainment system, restyled instrument cluster and bootlid with electric-opening function will also be seen on the X3 facelift.

The updated mid-size SUV is expected to get the TwinPower 2-litre diesel engine which has been tuned to offer more power and efficiency. BMW India may only offer it in a single engine option which, in all probability, will be with the xDrive variant.

With BMW EfficientDynamics, the SUV is equipped with the new technology packages to reduce fuel consumption and increase performance such as Intelligent Lightweight Construction, Auto Start-Stop, ECO PRO mode, Brake-Energy Regeneration, 50:50 Weight Distribution and many other innovative technologies.
