Bajaj Discover 125 launched at Rs. 48,000

Bajaj Auto Ltd, one of the most popular bike makers in India, has launched yet another model in its Discover range of executive commuter bikes. Dubbed as the new Bajaj Discover 125, the new bike goes on sale for a starting price of INR 46,669 (for drum brake variant). The disc brake equipped variant is priced at INR 48,619.

Clearly this bike is about Rs 4,000 lower than similar bikes offered by other manufacturers such as Shine, Glamour, Passion etc, making it an attractive proposition, K.Srinivas, President, Motorcycle Business, Bajaj Auto, said.

The Discover 125 gets 130mm drum brakes as standard, but you can opt for a 200mm front petal disc for some extra money. The Bajaj Discover 125 gets as standard Nitrox gas-charged suspension, electric start and DC headlamp. The new Discover is styled similar to the 125ST and looks stylish compared to the other 125cc commuters.

It will be available in six colour options – electron blue, wine red, charcoal magenta, charcoal green, silver blue and silver gold.

Commenting on the launch K Srinivas, President – Motorcycle Business, said, “Many consumers are tired of the regular commuter bikes which offer only around 8 Ps Power. They would ideally wish to upgrade to sportier, attractive bikes with superior technology and features. However barriers such as price and mileage deter them to move on to the 125cc segment. The all new Discover 125 offers equivalent mileage of a 100cc and comes with exciting performance and features all at an attractive price. We want the Indian commuter to live life to the fullest and “Jiyo Dana-Dan.”
