Red Nexus 5 launched in Google Play Store



The bright red Nexus 5 has been launched on the Google Play Store. The day Nexus 5 was announced, Google listed it on Indian Play Store with its pricing and coming soon tag.

The phone is now available on Google Play store India at Rs. 28,999 (16GB). The Google Play store India notes that the red Nexus 5 is in stock and will leave warehouse in 1 to 2 business days. The 32GB red Nexus 5 is available for Rs. 32,999.

According to NDTV, the red Nexus 5 is now available via Google Play in other countries as well, such as United States, Canada, U.K., France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea. The company has also announced that the new red Nexus 5 will be available across Europe by end of February. The red Nexus 5 will also be available in physical retail stores in select markets.

The Nexus 5 is the latest LG-built Google device. Let’s quickly brush through some of its specs. The Nexus 5 sports a 5-inch screen with 1920×1080 display, with a pixel count that goes up to 445ppi. The front camera is 1.3-megapixel, while the rear camera is 8 megapixels with Optical Image Stablisation. The smartphone has a 2,300 mAh battery with Google promising talk time up to 17 hours and Internet time up to 8.5 hours on Wi-Fi or 7 hours on LTE.

As far as processing goes, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core chipset clocked at 2.3GHz and Adreno 330 clocked at 450MHz for Graphic, along with 2 GB RAM. The smartphone also supports the newer Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4G/5G) 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, comes with NFC, Bluetooth 4.0. The device has a Micro USB port, and list of sensors includes accelerometer, GPS, compass, proximity/ambient light and gyroscope. It supports 2g, 3G and 4G LTE.
