Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS and 180 NS may be launched at Auto Expo 2014

Bajaj Auto which is one of the leading two wheeler manufacturer of India has planned to launch its new motorcycles in the 150++ segment including NS variants of Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 180. The company feels that it is suffering a little slow down in the 150-200 cc motorcycle category and it needs to improve its position with some new product launches.

According to Rushlane they have spied company at the testing of Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 180 on NH4 near Mahabaleshwar.

Bajaj will show cased new products at the Delhi Auto Expo. Along with the launches of 150 and 180 , it will also launch the new 200 SS Pulsar which is a fully faired version of Pulsar 200 NS with slight modifications in the engine output and riding dynamics. At the first sight of the bike, it will be similar to the previous bike and once watching closer people can able to find out the difference. Both the Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 180 will be in the NS format which is quite good.

Both Pulsar 150 NS and Pulsar 180 NS will be packed with same DTS-I engine assuring better performance in terms of power, torque, speed and acceleration. The fuel tank of the bike is not similar to the old model and the usual silencer has been replaced by an under-body one like Duke 200, 390, Pulsar 200 NS. The rear will be very different with the mud guard which enhances the design of the rear seats. The Pulsar 150 NS will come without split seats where as the Pulsar 180 NS will get split seats. Apart from that, the rear will have a mono shock suspension which makes easy to handle the bike at any road conditions.

The rear mud guard is different, so is the design of rear seats. According to Rushlane the Pulsar 180 NS will feature split seats, while the 150 NS will come without split seats. Major update seen is the much needed monoshock suspension at the rear. The tank is different as compared to the current 150/180, and is more like the existing 200 NS Pulsar. The usual silencer is also missing, and is replaced by an under-body one, just like one’s in Duke 200, 390, and Pulsar 200 NS.

Price of the new bikes should be similar to the existing 150 and 180, in the Rs 70-75k, while launch should take place at the Delhi Auto Expo next month.
