Ford Ecosport modified with DC Design

DC Design recently revealed a customized Ford EcoSport with some major modifications done to its exteriors and interiors. Prominent changes can be seen on the front façade, which have completely distinguished its appearance from the original company design. Unlike the regular EcoSport, there is no chrome to be seen on the front fascia and grille. In similar context, interiors too have been completely renovated to cast a new look. In a nutshell, the five-seater Ford EcoSport completely modified to an exclusive four-seater urban Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).

The bumper up front has been redesigned completely. LED lights and turn indicators are housed at the original headlamp section while the new headlamps are inspired by the new Jeep Grand Cherokee launched a few months ago. Fog lamps are placed right below the headlamps. No solid details with regards to the side profile, rear end and alloy wheels are available as yet.

The interior changes include a beige finish on the door trims, seats and dashboard and the front passenger seat can be folded to provide more space for the rear passenger. Moreover, the most noticeable alteration is the change in the seating layout of the car, as EcoSport now features a 2+2 seating configuration instead of 2+3.

The rear seats are electrically operated and features a new backrest that can be reclined. DC Design has added an extra AC unit to the car and two LCD screens for rear passengers. The central screen has been removed to offer more space for a larger one and the roof of the car features an additional ambient lightning.

The EcoSport is Ford India’s best selling product. The crossover is very popular among Indian car buyers, with many buyers opting for it instead of B segment hatchbacks and entry level sedans. A high ground clearance, SUV looks, petrol and diesel engine options, manual and automatic gearbox options, and a long feature list are the various attributes of the SUV. The EcoSport starts at Rs. 5.82 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi, a price that makes it cheaper than both the Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano by a big margin.
