LG G-Pad 8.3 Tablet has unveiled officially

South Korean technology major LG on Sunday unveiled their much-anticipated G Pad 8.3 tablet, just days ahead of the international electronics trade show IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) 2013 which is scheduled to kick-off on 6 September.

The LG G Pad 8.3 tablet is the first 8-inch tablet to offer a Full HD display, the company said. It sports a 1,920-by-1,200 display with 273 pixels per inch. There's a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing device for video chat.

Other features on the G Pad 8.3 include a Snapdragon 600 chipset with a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.7GHz and Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of LPDDR2 RAM and 16GB internal storage space. On the back is a 5 megapixel camera and on the front is a 1.3 megapixel shooter. The G Pad 8.3 is powered by a 4,600mAh battery but LG hasn’t made any claims regarding the battery life. The G Pad 8.3 runs on Android 4.2.2.

The G Pad 8.3 will hit markets in North America, Europe, and Asia, starting in Q4 2013, or as soon as October. There’s no official word on pricing yet, but we do hope  that the G Pad will be price competitive with the Nexus 7 (2013) and other Android tablets in its class.
