The weight of the Mega 2 is partly attributed to its huge 2800 mAh battery as well. The Mega 2 has a 5 megapixel front camera and an 8 megapixel rear camera. There is an LED flash in the rear panel too. The handset is based on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and comes with a 1.2 GHz quad core processor.

Along with these hardware specifications, Samsung has also loaded some of its proprietary software on the device including Story Album, Ultra Power Saving Mode,  S Health 3.0, S Voice, Group Play and the S Browser.

With the sub-21,000 price-tag, Galaxy Mega 2 will be competing with recently released LG G3 Stylus, Sony Xperia T3, Xperia T2 Ultra, Lenovo Vibe Z K910, Nokia Lumia 1320, Micromax Doodle 2 A240 and other low-cost domestic smartphones.
