Lenovo launches A8-50 voice calling tablet for Rs 17,999
Chinese tech firm Lenovo has launched its voice calling tablet A8-50 at Rs 17,999 in India.
The Lenovo A8-50 comes with single-SIM support for voice-calling and runs on ANDROID 4.2 Jelly Bean. which, as per Lenovo, will be upgraded to Android 4.4 KitKat.
The tablet sports an 8-inch HD screen of 1280x800 pixels with 10-point multitouch. It has a quad-core 1.3 GHz MediaTek processor along with 1 GB of RAM, just like in Lenovo A7-30 and Lenovo A7-50 tablets.
The Lenovo A8-50 comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). The tablet sports a 5-megapixel fixed focus rear camera with no LED flash, while there is a secondary 2-megapixel fixed focus front-facing camera also onboard.
On the connectivity front, the Lenovo A8-50 includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, FM radio and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. The Lenovo A8-50 tablet packs a non-removable 4200mAh Li-Po battery, which is rated to deliver up to 11 hours of usage time and up to 20 days of standby time. It measures 136x217x8.95mm and weighs at 360 grams.
The tablet is available on e-commerce website Flipkart and Lenovo stores. It is available in four colour options- blue, white, red and yellow. The Lenovo A8-50 has dual stereo speakers with Dolby Digital Plus audio enhancement.
