DSK Motowheels to launch 5 hot Benelli bikes by December 2014

DSK-Benelli  may not be a very popular name in India as international names like Honda or Kawasaki. The Benelli name is one of the oldest names of the Italian motorcycle manufacturers, now owned and controlled by QianJiang Group of China, that has been around since 1911 and made amazing motorcycles over the years.

The Italian company, Benelli, has joined hands with DSK Motowheels and launched the DSK-Benelli range of motorcycles.

The five Benellis – TNT 302 (in-line two-cylinder 300cc), TNT 600 i and TNT 600 GT (in-line, four-cylinder 600cc), TNT 899 (in-line three-cylinder 898cc) and TNT1130R (in-line, three-cylinder 1131cc) – are currently undergoing homologation and it is expected that the formalities would be concluded by December 2014, after which the company looks to commercially launch these bikes.

Mr. Frank Zhuang,Board Director of Benelli QJ SRL who was present at thehistoric tie-up announcement said “After establishing our footprint in nearly 30 countries like Italy, Germany, France, China, UK, USA, Australia and Spain to name a few, we now wish to introduce some of the world’s best designed and performing superbikes to the second largest two wheelermarket in the world. The Indian two wheeler marketis growing at a volume of 10-12% and is set to achieve a size of 21-23 million units by 2015-16.”
