New Suzuki Gixxer 155cc is priced in India at Rs 79,809

Suzuki has revealed price of its upcoming motorcycle Gixxer on its official website ahead of its launch in India that is slated in few weeks. Priced at Rs. 79,809 (on-road price New Delhi), the new Gixxer motorcycle will be pitted against Yamaha FZ FI V2.0, TVS Apache RTR, Honda CB Trigger, Hero Xtreme and Bajaj Pulsar 150. Booking for the bike is already open across Suzuki outlets in the country.

The Suzuki Gixxer is powered by a 154.9 cc single-cylinder air cooled engine with SEP technology (Suzuki Eco Performance) mated to a 5-speed gearbox. While the leaked brochure indicated the power output to be 14.1 PS ± 5%, the official website says it is 14.8 PS (14.59 bhp). The torque output stands at 14 Nm.

Suzuki Gixxer 155 has overall length of 2,050 mm, width of 785 mm, height of 1,030 mm, wheelbase of 1,330 mm and ground clearance of 160 mm, which are quite standard in bikes competing in 150 cc entry level performance bike segment. Seat height is 780 mm from ground, which is also similar to others. Fuel tank of Suzuki Gixxer holds 12 litres and kerb weight is 135 kg.

Front fork is telescopic and rear suspension setup is swing arm with mono shock. 17 inch cast alloy wheels equip 100/80 tire on front and 140/60 at rear; both are tubeless. Front wheel gets disc brake as standard and there is no option for same to lock rear wheel. Headlight is usual 12V 35/35W halogen bulb while tail lamp features LED. Colour options include grey, white, red, blue and black.
