Sony Xperia T3, a 7.7 mm thin phablet launched at Rs 27,990


Today, Sony Mobile has officially launched the company's new handset Xperia T3. The 5.3-inch Sony Xperia T3 made its global debut in June and is said to be the slimmest smartphone in its class.

Xperia T3 is powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Also included is, 8GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. It have an 8-megapixel rear camera supplemented with 1.1-megapixel front-facing camera.

The smartphone also features a 2,500mAh battery that the company claims is good enough for more than 12 hours of talktime and up to 688 hours on standby mode, and connectivity options like 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.


It also comes loaded with photography experience enriching apps like Social Live (users can broadcast real-time events via social platform like Facebook), AR effect (enables user to add animations and gifs to photos and videos), Timeshift burst (lets user to take 31 snapshots in 2 seconds), creative effects (can change colours and apply mirror effects), portrait re-touch (helps in getting photogenic finish).

In addition, the smartphone sports a stainless steel frame and is just 7mm thick. According to Sony, Xperia T3 will retail in Black, White and Purple colour options.

The new Xperia T3 is said to be available exclusively at Sony Center, Xperia flagship showrooms and other major electronic stores across India for ₹27,990 from 28 July onwards. Alternatively, you can also preorder the device on Indian e-commerce sites for Rs 26,990.
