Xolo Win Q900s : A 100g windows 8.1 smartphone

Indian mobile devices brand Xolo has now announced the launch of its first Windows Phone-based smartphone in India. Name of the phone is Xolo Win Q900s and it is claimed by company as a lightest smartphone of the world.

The phone is exclusively available on e-commerce site snapdeal at Rs 9,999. It will be released in July, users can also pre-book the device starting Saturday.

The weight of the WIN Q900s is certainly the big selling point for this phone. At 100g, this makes it the lightest Windows Phone product to be released, at least so far. Even with its small weight, the WIN Q900s has a decent sized 4.7 inch display with a 1280x720 resolution.

Measuring 135x67x7mm, the new Xolo smartphone has a 4.7-inch HD (1280x720 pixels, 321ppi) multi-touch IPS OGS display with scratch-resistant Dragon Trail Glass.

Inside there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with a clock speed of 1.2 GHz, along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, with a microSD card slot for expansion. It also has an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a front facing 2 megapixel camera. It also supports two SIM cards.

 Xolo's Win Q900s will compete against Micromax's Canvas Win W121 that comes with similar specifications.
