Toyota Etios Cross launched at Rs.5.76 Lakh
Toyota India has launched its Etios Cross compact crossover at Rs 5.76 lakh, ex-Delhi. The Toyota Etios Cross is available with two petrol and one diesel engine. Combined with spunky exterior styling and an equally impressive interior design, the Etios Cross is aimed squarely at a younger and more adventurous audience. The vehicle, which was unveiled at the 12th Auto Expo, has been launched in three different engine options, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said in a statement.
The Etios Cross is built on the Liva hatchback, it manages to look sportier and more rugged than before with heavy design changes both inside and out. On the outside, the car receives new grille with guard, roof rails, unique side cladding, diamond cut alloy wheels, fog lamps with integrated turn indicators, ORVMs with turn indicators and rear defogger with wiper, giving it quite a bold look.
Inside the cabin, the car receives piano black shade, sporty seat fabric with white stitch & logo, 2 Din Audio system with Bluetooth, USB and AUX-in support and leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls mounted on it, which give it a more up-market feel than the regular Liva hatchback.
There are a total of three engine options which comprise of two petrol and one diesel engine. The petrol comes with a 1.2-litre and 1.5-litre producing max power/peak torque of 80PS/104Nm and 90PS/132Nm respectively. The oil burner is a 1.4-litre unit capable of 68PS and 170Nm.
All the engines come only with the 5-speed manual transmission. Toyota claims that the 1.2-litre and 1.5-litre petrol have fuel efficiency figure of 17.71kmpl and 16.78kmpl respectively with the diesel providing much better figures of 23.59kmpl.
The petrol variants are priced at Rs 5.76 and Rs 7.35 lakh respectively, the diesel variants would cost Rs 6.9 lakh and Rs 7.4 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
“Etios Cross will further expand the Etios family along with its existing models — Etios and Liva,” it added.
