Hyundai India launches EON 1.0L at Rs.3.8Lakhs

Hyundai India today rolled out a new variant of its entry level car Eon, priced at Rs 3.83 lakh, ex-Showroom, New Delhi. The new variant, which comes with 1 litre Kappa engine, will be available along with the current 0.8 litre variants of Eon, Hyundai Motor India Ltd said in a statement.

The Euro 5 ready 1.0 Litre Kappa petrol engine is equipped with latest Dual VTVT technology and designed to deliver high engine performance, with enhanced fuel efficiency and low emissions. The advanced 1.0 Litre three-cylinder engine delivers high power of 69PS@6,200 rpm and peak torque at 9.6 kgm at 3500 rpm for enhanced driving experience resulting in less frequent gear shifting and high fuel efficiency of 20.3 Kmpl (ARAI Certified).

All-aluminum 1.0 Litre Kappa engine makes for weight reduction with an aluminum head and block to return improved fuel economy. Noise, vibration & harshness level (NVH) reduction is attained through low friction timing chain. Piston cooling jets enable optimum piston temperature for efficient engine workingto result in better fuel economy and engine performance. Mated with 5-speed manual gearbox, smooth gear shifting and low noise gear design improve NVH.
