LG launches Dual-Sim Smartphone L65 with Android Kitkat 4.4

LG has launched its budget smartphone L65 on LG's Russia website and it is available at a price of 7,490 roubles (Rs 12,700 approximately). Now, the latest news coming courtesy of tech-bound Twitter user @evleaks suggests that the same handset is coming soon in a single SIM variant. The sensational leakster has also posted the image of the handset online on Twitter.

Well, the L65 is pretty much a dual-SIM version of the L70. In fact, barring the capacity for a second SIM, it's all but identical except for the 4.3in display, which is a tad smaller than the L70's 4.5in screen. Despite that, it's housed in what appears to be the exact same shell (both devices have the same dimensions overall – 127.2 x 66.8 x 9.5mm), while if you really wanted to split hairs you could say the L65 has the sharper screen, considering it packs the same 800 x 480 resolution as the L70 but on a slightly smaller screen. Elsewhere, though, you've got the same dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 4GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM, 5MP camera, removable 2100mAh battery and Android 4.4.2 operating system.

There is no information on the phone's India pricing and availability, at this point in time. LG had previously launched two mid-range dual-sim Android smartphones, L70 and L90, part of its L Series III, in the Indian market.
