Ubisoft Reveals Assassin's Creed Unity with a Teaser Trailer!

Developer Ubisoft has officially announced the next chapter in the Assassin's Creed franchise! They'll be taking on the French Revolution in Assassin's Creed Unity.

Ubisoft also confirmed prior reports that Assassin’s Creed: Unity is one of two forthcoming 2014 releases for the franchise, and would be developed exclusively for current-gen platforms. However, while the announcement trailer for AC: Unity did reveal the title will hit PS4, Xbox One, and PC, there was one glaring omission: the Wii U.

Up until this point, the Assassin’s Creed franchise has been an equal opportunity series; that is, where there is a platform, there is a release. But now that Assassin’s Creed is actually starting to make the big shift from old-gen to current-gen it appears Nintendo‘s platform might end up left behind.

More information, details and trailers (oh god, so many trailers) will be forthcoming on Assassin’s Creed Unity in the coming weeks and months, but for now here’s a video which claims to all be in-game footage. We shall see.
