Skoda launches "Rapid Ultima" in India at Rs. 8.30 Lakh
Czech auto-maker Skoda today rolled out a special edition of its mid-sized sedan 'Rapid Ultima,' priced at Rs 8.30-9.97 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) with additional features like parking sensors with a rear view camera, Garmin and Tom Tom navigation devices, among others.
The company had earlier given a clue towards introducing limited editions of their cars, and the Ultima is the first product of those. Launched in two variants, the special edition will be available across all Skoda authorized dealerships for a limited period only. The Rapid Ultima features Skoda's new logo and is ideal for the Indian streets with an attractive design, ample space, excellent safety equipment and modern proven technology, the release said.
What really makes the difference is the interior of the car, as it comes with several features such as Garmin and Tom-Tom navigation, audio system with USB and Aux-in support, bluetooth phone connectivity, on-board computer, multi-function steering wheel, parking sensors, leather package, seven spoke alloys, side plaque with 'Ultima' branding, leather seat covers, floor mats with Ultima branding and door sill moldings with Ultima branding. The mid-level varaints are available with additional airbags.
The company sells six models- Superb, Octavia, Laura, Fabia, Yeti and Rapid-in the local market. It has a manufacturing facility in Shendra near Aurangabad district in Maharashtra. Skoda Auto India has a network of 92 sales and 84 service outlets across the country, the company said.
