Google Play Music and Movies hits new countries around the world

Google is making many of their multimedia services available to more countries abroad. First up, Google Play Music and the optional All Access subscription is now available for users in Norway, Sweden, Slovakia and Greece.

Play Music comes with Google's All Access music streaming service. The rates vary per region, with users in Slovakia required to pay $7 per month (after the 30 day trial period), which is a fair bit less than what Greek users pay, at $11. Users from Sweden and Norway would have to pay approximately $15 per month to subscribe.
Google play Movies is now available in Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Finland, Gabon, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Ivory Coast, Luxembourg, Mali, Mauritius, Namibia, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Niger, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Rwanda, Senegal, Sweden, Togo, Uruguay, Venezuela and Zambia.
Android device-owning consumers will be able to download the app and use it to rent or buy film titles from the company's vast media library. The company has also fixed a lot of bugs that were in the existing app and users lucky enough to have a device running KitKat -- the latest version of Android -- will discover that everything works much more quickly and smoothly.

However, perhaps best of all is the addition of support for SD downloads and streaming, ideal for consumers on strict data limits or less than superfast internet connections. However, the ability to rent or buy TV episodes is still restricted to a handful of countries -- Australia, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
