12th class student created a shoe that charges your phone while walking

A 12th class student in hill town of Nainital Rajesh Adhikari has created a shoe that can now even charge a mobile phone. This means that no matter where you are, wearing these shoes gives one a reason to get up and walk.

According to DNA India, this turned out to be an inspiration for Adhikari which made him make a powerhouse out of a shoe and make full use of the energy generated out of the footwear when a person walks.

Adhikari explained the mechanism of the shoe cum mobile charger.

"When we raise our feet, the spring gets released and the dynamo starts revolving, which generates current. We can charge our mobile phones while we are walking," he said.

The charge can be reportedly used to light a bulb as well, in case of electricity failure. One simply needs to install a battery in the shoe for lighting a bulb. Adhikari also plans to add further improvements to the shoe.

He is now reportedly working on a design that will make the shoe a wireless phone charger so that the user can charge a mobile phone by simply walking with it in his/her pocket.
