Google updates Android Voice Search app for your relationship
Google Inc has reportedly retrained voice search in Android in order to let users call family and friends by saying aloud their pet names.
“You can skip scrolling through your contacts and just say to your Android phone ‘Ok Google, call Mom’ or ‘Ok Google, send a text to my wife,’” Google explained yesterday on its Google+ page. “Starting now, the Google search app on your Android phone will be able to pull up the right contact for you—and if you don’t have Mom saved as 'mom,' it’ll help you set that up quickly.”
At the moment, it seems as though the feature supports standard extended family designations, in English although it does appear that the feature is geographically limited at the moment. The relationships supported right now include, boyfriend/ girlfriend, mother / mom, father / dad, brother, sister, cousin, niece, nephew, aunt, uncle, grandmother / grandma, grandfather / grandpa and so on. In-laws are not yet supported.
This new feature doesn’t require you to update your current version of the app. It has been enabled on the backend by Google.

All of your social networking links on the left side of the screen ruin the website, I gave up trying to read the article around them. They are even interfering with this comment box.
