Asus M70AD, world’s first NFC-enabled Desktop launched with wireless charging

Asus has launched the 'M70AD,' touted to be the world's first NFC enabled PC. The M70AD PC allows wire-free pairing of desktop PCs with Android smart devices, which enables easy syncing of content between them. Moreover, the new NFC Express technology offers automatic photo and video back up feature from Android device onto the desktop PC.

The Asus M70AD desktop comes with features such as a built-in UPS that allows the PC to shut down safely in the event of a power failure, after all data and documents are saved. There's also a Qi wireless inductive plate and fast USB charging that will allow devices to charge even when the PC is shut down.

A hot-swappable Universal Storage Module (USM) drive bay makes it easy to use high-capacity external SATA hard drives. The desktop comes with two sound enhancements for more powerful audio. Sonic Master Technology is Asus' own enhancement, and MaxxAudio from Waves.

The Asus M70AD desktop PC will be powered by a 4th generation Intel Core processor. It have 4GB DDR3 RAM, a 500GB hard drive, a slim DVD-RW drive, and a 16-in-1 card reader, pre-installed 64-bit Windows 8 and a number of applications including Asus WebStorage (32GB for 3 years), Asus launcher, Power Director, Photo Director, and Music Maker Silver. The desktop also offers trial versions of office and antivirus suites.According to reports, it is priced at Rs 62,000.
