Indian team wins entrepreneur contest

The team from India, won the first prize in the Windows Azure Challenge at the 11th annual Microsoft Imagine Cup, a competition for student technologists-cum-entrepreneurs, held at St. Petersburg. The team won for its project Zoik It!, a dynamic and intelligent social networking tool that allows users to connect with people and activities around them in real time.

The team also won the Mail.Ru Group Connected Planet Award, taking home a total purse of $20,000. The Y-Nots were among 87 student teams from 71 countries in the worldwide finals, a release from Microsoft stated.
