Whatsapp to get voice calling feature soon

WhatsApp, chief executive officer, Jan Koum, in October had said the voice calling feature in world's most popular messaging was in the making and if latest reports are to be believed it will be a reality soon.

The latest version of WhatsApp was recently updated with a new feature that allows the user to see how much data they have used with voice calling. The information shows data used for outgoing and incoming calls from other users of WhatsApp.

This bit of information is important because there is no official voice calling feature available at this time. By adding in the ability to see how much data is used by making and receiving calls, WhatsApp clearly plans to launch voice calling soon.

Androidworld.nl has published alleged screenshots of a build of the WhatsApp app that offers voice calling. According to rumors, the build is may be getting tested by employees and will be included in the official build when it's finally announced by the company.
