Windows 10 consumer preview to be unveiled in January 2015

Microsoft is gearing up to detail the consumer preview of its upcoming release windows 10 at an event in January. The company has already released its Windows 10 Technical Preview which you can download and install, but that's only for computers.

According to The Verge,while Microsoft will be present at the international Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, scheduled to be held from 6 to 9 January. The Company will hold an separate event to show off consumer oriented features of Windows.

Here company will discuss its plans for just how Windows 10 will work on smartphones, tablets and Xbox One consoles. Microsoft is expected to showcase a number of features like Continuum, which allow users to switch between touch and non-touch interfaces.

Windows 10 is said to be launching sometime in “mid 2015,” so don’t expect the software to become available for the general public at said January event.
