Honda launches Gold Wing GL 1800 tourer bike for Rs 28.5 lakh

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. today launched the world's best known touring motorcycle, the Honda Gold Wing, in India. The day also marks the 40th anniversary of the tourer bike.

Honda Gold Wing is powered by a 6-cylinder 1832 cc liquid-cooled engine. The bike has a 5 speed transmission and elective reverse mode. The bike gets programmed fuel injection system and computer controlled digital ignition system.

Gold Wing comes with both Honda’s Combined Braking System (CBS) and an Antilock Braking System (ABS) that offers confidence-inspiring braking in all situations and conditions. It also gets the fully-integrated airbag with seat for security.

The bike has a six-speaker 80W SRS surround-sound system  and riders can play multiple format music files on the move by connecting an iPod, iPhone or USB stick.

Company has announced two edition in India, Gold Wing Audio comfort available in dual tone candy prominence red, is priced at Rs 28.50 lakh and the Gold Wing Airbag, available in Pearl Glare White, is priced at Rs 31.50 lakh.
