Apple iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3 now available for pre-order on Flipkart and Infibeam

Apple Inc which already announced the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3 back in October in India is reportedly preparing to release the new iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 in India this week. These will be available for pre-order on Flipkart, Infibeam and others. The retailers will reportedly start shipping the tablets from now onwards till the end of November.

The iPad Air 2 will start at Rs.35,900 for the 16GB Wi-Fi only model, while the iPad Mini 3 will start at Rs.28,900. The Wi-Fi only models of the iPad Air 2 in 64GB and 128GB of storage will cost Rs.42,900 and Rs.49,900 respectively. Besides this, the Wi-Fi only iPad Mini 3 models with 64GB and 128GB of storage will cost Rs.35,900 and Rs.42,900 respectively.

The iPad Air 2 with 3G connectivity will cost Rs.45,900 for the 16GB model. The 64GB model of the same will cost Rs.52,900, while the 128GB version will cost Rs.59,900. The iPad Mini 3 with cellular connectivity starts at Rs.38,900 for 16GB of storage. For the 64GB and 128GB models, the cost increases to Rs.45,900 and Rs.52,900 respectively.

To recap on the specifications, the iPad Air 2 features a 9.7-inch (2048×1536 pixels) display at a pixel density of 264ppi and anti-reflective coating. It is powered by an A8X processor paired with 2GB of RAM, and includes an 8-megapixel iSight camera, 1.2-megapixel FaceTime camera, connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11ac and support for up to up to 20 LTE bands, and TouchID sensor.

The iPad Mini 3 features a 7.9-inch (2048×1536 pixels) display, and is powered by a 64-bit A7 dual-core processor paired with M7 coprocessor and 1GB of RAM. It also includes a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.2-megapixel front camera, a battery that is good enough to last 10 hours, and a TouchID sensor.
