Xolo launches Omega 5.0 and Omega 5.5 smartphones on Twitter

Xolo, has launched its new Omega-series of smartphones, which includes Omega 5.0 and Omega 5.5, priced at Rs 8,999 and Rs 9,999, respectively.

The company announced the launch on Twitter and revealed that the new Omega series smartphones will be available in top 10 cities - Omega 5.0 starting December 10 while the Omega 5.5 will be up for grabs starting December 20.

Xolo has also bundled both the devices with special Vodafone offers. The Omega 5.0 and Omega 5.5 will get 500 MB and 1GB free data with unlimited music content on Vodafone Music for two months. Unfortunately, the company has not announced whether it is offering 2G/3G data to users.

The XOLO Omega 5.0 and Omega 5.5 feature a 5-inch and 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display respectively. Powered by an octa-core processor, the XOLO Omega series boasts of an onboard 8GB ROM and 1GB of RAM. On the camera front, the Omega 5.0 and Omega 5.5 handsets sport a similar 2MP front-facing camera.

In terms of connectivity, the dual-sim phones support Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, 3G and GPS. The Omega 5.0 packs in a 2100mAh battery while Omega 5.5 comes with a 2600mAh battery.
